George, father of John Speckman, was a long time member of BACI and he will be missed by our community.
George Henry Speckman ~ November 21, 1924 – September 8, 2013
Born November 21, 1924, George passed away peacefully on September 8, 2013. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Loriene and children Norma (Shawn), Allan, Brian (Pat), John and Maria, and grandchildren Ashley and Tyler.
Born in the family home, George lived almost his entire life in Burnaby. George worked for 35 years at the WCB and greatly enjoyed his time helping injured workers. He will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, his sense of humour and his commitment to his family and church.
The family would like to thank the compassionate care givers at West Coast In-Home Care, Fraser Health Home Care and George Derby Center. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 21st at Burnaby North Church, 3977 Albert St. There will be a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in George’s memory to Camp Tulahead, Box 1272, Princeton, BC, V0X-1W0 would be greatly appreciated.
