Senior Manager, Children & Family Services
Krista has been working with children and families for 12 years in a variety of settings including transition homes, second stage housing, and children’s counselling. She worked as an Infant Development Consultant in the Infant Development Program (IDP) at BACI for 5 years. Krista is now responsible for Management of IDP and BACI’s 6 Inclusive Childcare centers.
Her areas of interest include inclusion and innovation for children with disabilities in their home, community and childcare setting, support and advocacy for families who need additional support, holistic family mental health and attachment, literacy and language, Seeds and Roots of Empathy programs, and supporting children in the foster care system. Krista believes strongly in the power of family, always keeping in mind that a parent or primary caregiver knows their child’s needs best.
