Wellness Domains – Nutritional

Eating well plays an important role in our overall health. That is why nutritional wellness has been put in a category of its own. Well-being in this area involves reinforcing healthy food choices and portion sizes based on our needs.

To improve your nutritional wellness, choose from a variety of activities mentioned below:

  • Eat a total of 5 fruits and vegetables per day
  • Keep a daily food diary
  • Drink 5-6, 8oz. glasses of water per day
  • Take a healthy lunch from home to work
  • Eat breakfast
  • Reduce or eliminate consumption of alcohol per day
  • Reduce caffeine intake to one beverage per day
  • Grab a healthy snack
  • Bake something for a friend
  • Weekly menu planning/grocery shopping
  • Eat a turkey or Veggie Burger
  • Have 2 servings of fish this week
  • Quit your “diet” and eat good, healthy food for a week
  • Eat a nutritious breakfast 7 days in a row
  • Pack a HEALTHY snack to eat on your drive home
  • Prepare a low-fat recipe you’ve never tried before
  • Substitute high fat, junk food snacks for healthy snacks for one day
  • Replace your morning coffee with a healthy mug of green tea
