Approximately 80 – 100 people who live independently or with their families are served annually through this program. Individuals may receive long- or short-term supports, with the goal being to develop the skills that will help them become more independent, lead more meaningful lives, and be able to more fully participate in their community. The hours of support per month are based on the needs and goals of each individual, but typically would not exceed 20 hours per month.
In addition to one-to-one supports, the Outreach department offers a community kitchen once a week, where approximately 16 to 20 individuals develop peer relationships, plan and shop for healthy meals, and develop their cooking skills.

Many adults or youth supported by BACI are currently living at home with their elderly parents. Because of our strong commitment to supporting individuals and families through life transitions, we offer parents assistance in identifying appropriate resources and in planning strategies for the future of their son or daughter. Examples of assistance include workshops on wills and estates, Representation Agreements, trusts and taxes, and establishing a vision of a quality of life for their child.
