We’re excited to announce that Surveyors from CARF (The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission) will be visiting BACI from April 27 – 29, 2020, to complete BACI’s external Accreditation process.
As many of you know, BACI is required to go through an external review to make sure the standard of services we provide is in line with international best practices (like all other organizations who receive at least $500,000 in contract funding from CLBC and MCFD). Accreditation is a key part of BACI’s strategic and action planning process, and our ongoing commitment to quality improvement as an organization.
This will be our 6th Accreditation Survey (occurring every 3 years) and we look forward to once again demonstrating the many ways we make a difference in the lives of the people we serve. It is also an opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experience of the Surveyors involved.
The 4 Surveyors overseeing our Accreditation process come from all over the United States — Michigan, Arizona, North Carolina and California. Closer to the time, we will let the people and families we serve, BACI staff, Board members and community partners, know what opportunities are available to meet with the Surveyors and contribute to our Survey.
As a previous CARF Survey Team said, “It is evident that BACI has a true commitment to providing quality services, and a commitment to improving the quality of those services and the efficiency of their operations… The dedication, compassion, enthusiasm and skills of the staff are evident throughout the organization.”
We think the 2020 team will find even more to celebrate!
