Little Eagles Children’s Centre

The newly built Little Eagles Children’s Centre is a licensed group child care facility, providing inclusive child care that supports healthy and optimal growth and development for all children. The child-to-staff ratio for infants and toddlers is 1 staff to every 4 children, and the ratio for children aged 3 to 5 is 1 staff for every 8 children.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Little Eagles Children’s Centre is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with the exception of statutory holidays.

STAFFING

The staff are trained and certified in Early Childhood Education with many staff specialized in Infant and Toddler Training and Special Needs Training. All staff are certified in First Aid and CPR, and have completed a Criminal Record Search.

PROGRAMS & FEES

BACI is excited to confirm that our Centre has been approved to receive the Child Care Fee Reduction from BC’s Ministry of Child and Family Development. Full-time enrolment is a priority at our children’s centres. Effective May 1, 2024, full-time rates for children aged 0-18 months at Little Eagles are $678 per month ($1578 – $900 Fee Reduction); aged 19-36 months are $590 per month ($1490 – $900 Fee Reduction); aged 3-5 years are $509 per month ($1054 – $545 Fee Reduction).
PLEASE NOTE:  The wait list at Little Eagles is closed until further notice. Due to the high volume of wait list applications, we are unable to respond to individual inquiries regarding where your child is on the wait list and the anticipated enrolment date. When spots do become available on the wait list, a deposit of 50% of one month’s fees is required to hold your child’s spot in a program. A family’s choice for part-time care is accommodated if a space is available.

Fair Haven Children’s Centre

Fair Haven Children’s Centre provides an inclusive child care program that strives for healthy and optimal growth and development for all children. Fair Haven staff recognize all children as unique individuals with a variety of strengths, needs, talents and interests. We believe that children learn through play, curiosity, experimentation and exploration. We provide developmentally appropriate programming and activities that promote inclusion, multiculturalism and learning.

Fair Haven is a provincial Universal Child Care Prototype site. Families pay no more than $200 a month per child for full-time enrolment during regular business hours, regardless of the care type. For some low-income families, child care could be free. More information on the program from the BC Government can be found here.


Fair Haven Children’s Centre is located in Fair Haven Seniors’ Home. This gives our program the unique ability to have ongoing interactions with the seniors. This multigenerational approach allows the children and seniors the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities such as arts, crafts, songs and games. These social interactions enrich and broaden a sense of community in the children while having fun. (Please note: In-person interactions with the Seniors’ Home have ceased during the COVID-19 pandemic.)

As one of the province’s Universal Child Care Prototype Sites, families pay a maximum of $200 a month per child for full-time enrolment during regular business hours, regardless of the care type. For some low-income families, child care could be free.
PLEASE NOTE:  The wait list at Fairhaven is closed until further notice. Due to the high volume of wait list applications, we are unable to respond to individual inquiries regarding where your child is on the wait list and the anticipated enrolment date. When spots do become available on the wait list, a deposit of 50% of one month’s fees is required to hold your child’s spot in a program. A family’s choice for part-time care is accommodated if a space is available.

Variety Cariboo Children’s Centre

Variety Cariboo Children’s Centre is a licensed group child care facility providing an inclusive child care program that strives for healthy and optimal growth and development for all children. Variety staff recognize all children as unique individuals with a variety of strengths, needs, talents and interests.
We believe that children learn through play, curiosity, experimentation and exploration. We provide developmentally appropriate programming and activities that promote inclusion, multiculturalism and learning.

Variety Cariboo is a provincial Universal Child Care Prototype site. Families pay no more than $200 a month per child for full-time enrolment during regular business hours, regardless of the care type. For some low-income families, child care could be free. Brentwood Park Plus Out of School Care provides an inclusive child care program that strives for healthy and optimal growth and development for all children. Brentwood Park staff recognize all children as unique individuals with a variety of strengths, needs, talents and interests.

We believe that children learn through play, curiosity, experimentation and exploration. We provide developmentally appropriate programming and activities that promote inclusion, multiculturalism and learning. Brentwood Park Plus is a licensed out-of-school care facility that is fully wheelchair accessible. The child-to-staff ratio for children in Kindergarden and Grade 1 is 1 staff for every 10 children. For children in Grades 2 to 7, the ratio is 1 staff for every 15 children.

The Summer Program builds upon community exploration to many local recreational facilities that may include: Science World, The Vancouver Aquarium, Stanley Park, local beaches, local parks and many more. Brentwood Park Plus Out of School Care also plans and implements community fundraisers, thereby incorporating a sense of community ownership in the children while having fun.

Full-time enrolment is a priority at our children’s centres. Full-time fees are $613 per month (with Pro-D Days). Please note that this covers an additional week of Spring Break. 

The full-time Summer rate at the Out of School Care Centres is $840 per month.

South Slope Out Of School Care Centre

South Slope Out of School Care provides an inclusive child care program that strives for healthy and optimal growth and development for all children. South Slope staff recognize all children as unique individuals with a variety of strengths, needs, talents and interests.

We believe that children learn through play, curiosity, experimentation and exploration. We provide developmentally appropriate programming and activities that promote inclusion, multiculturalism and learning.

South Slope is a licensed out-of-school care facility that is fully wheelchair accessible. The child-to-staff ratio for children in Kindergarten and Grade 1 is 1 staff for every 10 children. For children in Grades 2 to 7, the ratio is 1 staff for every 15 children.
