One free event you may want to check out on October 15 is, “People with Disabilities and Institutionalization: History or Continued Reality?” It features the People First of Canada’s 2024 documentary, “These Four Walls: A documentary on the Manitoba Developmental Centre.” After the film, there will be a panel discussion with self-advocate leaders Barb Goode and Bryce Schaufelberger, as well as Karla Verschoor from Inclusion BC, and Dr. Michael Bach, internationally known community leader on ways to advance the full inclusion and human rights of persons with disabilities.
