familyWORKS
familyWORKS helps families to see possibility, to dream, to believe, and then get information about how best to achieve employment for their family members who have a disability.
It started as a family-based economic inclusion project developed by Maggie Vilvang (then with 2010 Legacies Now), and hosted by BACI. In 2012, BACI gifted familyWORKs to the Family Support Institute of British Columbia (FSI). BACI continues to provide in-kind support so that the project can be grown to a provincial scale.
familyWORKS was first funded by an Innovation Grant from Community Living British Columbia (CLBC), and through 2010 Legacies Now. Currently, the project is funded through the Community Living Venture and FSI, with in-kind support given from BACI.
